Sowing and Reaping - Location Matters Most: The principle of sowing and reaping isn't about karma, but about where we sow. Sowing to the flesh (even good deeds done in our own strength for approval or recognition) leads to weariness and corruption. Sowing to the Spirit (acting in dependence on God) produces eternal life and lasting fruit.
The Flesh vs. Surrender: The Christian life operates on divine principles, not human effort. We don't need more strength or effort—we need more surrender. The Spirit within us is fully sufficient for everything God has called us to do. We bear fruit by abiding in Christ, not by straining in our own power.
The Cross Demands Death, Not Improvement: The flesh hates the cross because it demands death of the self, not moral improvement. Modern Christianity often avoids the cross by substituting religious activity, spiritual disciplines, and self-improvement for true dependence on Christ. The Christian life is Christ living through us—we cannot do it ourselves.
Co-Crucifixion is Already Accomplished: We don't achieve our crucifixion with Christ—we enter into what has already been done. "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me" (Galatians 2:20). Recognizing our co-crucifixion isn't defeat; it's deliverance into Christ's life flowing through us.
You Are a New Creation: In Christ, you are not a repaired sinner or improved version of your old self—you are entirely new. Nothing else counts except being a new creation. Stop measuring yourself by old scorecards. You are fully accepted, valued, and loved as a son or daughter of God. Walk in this reality, not in striving to become it.
