My eyes are fixed on You (Michelle Ruest)

Updated: Jun 18, 2020

I encourage you today to not fear but have faith. God is in control of everything taking place in todays world. Knowing who God is and what he stands for gives us comfort in his word.  This week while I was doing my devotions I came across Psalm 141 8-10.

"But my eyes are fixedon you, SovereignLord;

in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death.

Keep me safefrom the traps set by evildoers,

from the snaresthey have laid for me.

Let the wicked fallinto their own nets,

while I pass by in safety."

The Bible says that our eyes need to be fixed on God and not on earthly things. It encourages us to take refuge in Him who keeps us safe. Even though there is evil in the world that tries to bring us down or discourage us; God will protect us. He is with us even when we’re going through this social distancing which can feel like we are all alone. God has got this. So don’t be discouraged my friends, let’s take to His word and promises.   Here is a picture I took of a sunset and I wanted to share it with you to show God’s love and his beautiful colours that He is near us.
